PM: Fear Traffic Laws More Than the Police

SIHANOUKVILLE: Prime Minister Hun Sen has urged citizens to respect traffic laws rather than fear the traffic police.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of Road 146B connecting to Road 148 in Sihanoukville on Thursday morning, 22 December, the Prime Minister remarked that many people in the country appear to show more fear for the police than the law.

He clarified that the purpose of the traffic laws are to protect the people and not make them fear the police.

According to the Prime Minister, road accidents continue to be a major concern in Cambodia after the situation of the Covid-19 pandemic stabilized.
